Today I received a call from a mom in our Troop with a story she wanted to share. Her son Alex, one of our Scouts lost his wallet a few months ago. Since that time they have looked high and low, at home, in the cars, basically everywhere. Today they got a call his wallet was found. A woman found it at a Chilies Restaurant. As she looked in it she found several gift cards, over a hundred dollars in cash, and a Boy Scout card. The woman contacted the Council office and informed them that she had found a Scouts wallet and wanted to know if they could look up his name and contact the scout and his family. They did and this afternoon Alex met the woman at the council office where his wallet was returned to him. Alex and his parents offered the woman a $20 reward, but she refused. She was happy to have returned it to him.
So do you know where your Scout card is? Never leave home without it!

OK… now that is a really cool story! What a great lady to not only return it, but to greet the scout who’s wallet she found. Remind me to ask Alex for a loan Monday night.
She must have been a Girl Scout.
