Service hours don’t always have to be done during a scouting event. If your scout is volunteering their time, have them check with the scout master ahead of time to see if it qualifies for their service hour requirements.
Logan G and Joey O volunteered last night to face paint at a MS150 fund raising event that my company sponsored. They were in such high demand that they were still painting the faces of kids after the party was supposed to have ended at 10pm. But then again, the people kept dancing and wouldn’t let the band stop either. I’m excited to say that the boys took in tips for this no charge portion of the festivities and promptly turned it in as donations. At last check, with their assistance, Team Believe raised nearly $30,000 yesterday. They have my personal gratitude and that of the gentleman that Team Believe was formed around.
