At our Venture Round table tonight after the first hour my mind started to drift away from the conversation we were having about scuba diving and how each crew is different. I started reflecting back to all the years I spent in Scouting with my son from the night we signed him up as a Tiger Scout, all the way until he became an Eagle Scout and everything in between. I started remembering all the memorable times we had together, while feeling lost without him as I continue foreword as a leader in the Troop and Crew. Together, we attended countless meetings, hiked hundreds of miles, traveled thousand’s of miles more, and camped too many nights to remember. From pinewood derby’s to standing on top of Mt. Baldy at Philmont, our OA ordeal together, to white water rafting down the Arkansas River in Colorado, I realized all these years in Scouts with my son, were priceless and how much I do and will miss him as I continue on as a leader. I want to thank my Son for the adventure of a lifetime and all the great times that we shared together.
