Duct Tape Merit Badge revisited

I wanted to share something with you all. I don’t think it will surprise any of you to know that we can look at the stats for this blog and see what posts are being looked at. Today, for the second time this month, one that I wrote just under a year ago got two hits. It amazes me that people are still reading it. It was all about trying to revive a scout’s desire to implement a Duct Tape Merit Badge. While this young man has sense earned his Eagle and moved on beyond his quest, it is never too late for troops all over the US to petition the BSA to reconsider.

My point is… 170 times, people have gone looking for a Duct Tape Merit Badge and found their way to my post. This tells me that our troop can’t possibly be the only one that would love to see this become a reality. I for one may just have to use the pre-written letter from Troop 99s website and see how many of our scouts want to sign it and send it in. This is a great idea to submit to the BSA Innovation Engine once it goes live for volunteers.
