It never seems to fail that no matter how little rain an area can get for a season, if you book a campout, it will come. Apparently, this test wasn’t failed for Troop 483. Yesterday, a cold front moved through the Conroe and Houston, TX area dropping the temperature and bringing with it rain. Fortunately, most of the boys headed the warning and garnered their rain suits. While this morning is only 41 degrees in Conroe, today is set to be a cool 58 degrees for the high and it only brings a 10% chance of rain. I imagine it won’t be hard to get them into their jackets.
I made a run up there to take some super hero capes yesterday morning (this year’s theme) and I saw lots of smiling faces and our campers having a great time. I even went stealth to snag a couple of pictures of some of our more elusive scouts. If I can break free today, I’ll try to get back up there to get some more shots that we can share.
