Especially this time of year we talk about doing good deeds for others, giving of ourselves. While out today in drizzly wet weather, there was traffic, crowds, bad drivers, bad walkers, and people that just couldn’t push a grocery cart any better than they could drive. But at my last stop of the day at our local Walgreen’s, with full hands, I asked the lady with two young children if they were the last in a long line and she said not really, so I took my place in line. Then she asked if I could get a box off the top shelf out of her reach, so I stepped out of line to help. I grabbed the box, which was a pet gift box. The woman’s kids got so excited as she did. That one minute to help them made my day and all stress of the day dissolve. It just shows that the smallest deeds can be the biggest for others.
So what was your Good Deed today?
