We’re all conserving funds this year in this tough economy. Those of us who live in Houston may be even moreso after working to recover from Ike.
That doesn’t mean that we, and our scouts, can’t give this holiday season. Nothing stops us from giving of ourselves. If you see a neighbor stuggling to carry in bags, offer to help. You don’t have to be on the side of a rock to support a climber. Watch out for those who are hanging lights and offer a supporting hand on their ladder. If you see the elderly couple across the street still has limbs or leaves in their yard, offer to help get them up.
You will certainly spread good will and warm spirits by sharing yourself.
