“I Want” The Prayer of a Leaders Wife
March 25, 2008 by buffaloeagle
I want the tent in my bed room gone
I want the plastic boxes of books and notes gone from the living room
I want one night without the S word
I want to go on vacation without taking other people’s children
I want to spend my anniversary without ironing a tan shirt
I want to be able to accept an invitation without having to check his calendar
I want my front door painted
I want a car that doesn’t have a tow bar
I want to feel more important that strangers
I want to hear my husband laugh when we are alone
I want to know that he is only thinking of me when we are alone in the dark
I want him back
I believe the most important person in any Troop is the Scoutmaster’s wife, since they sacrifice more than just an hour a week.
Thank you honey for all your support!

Thanks honey…I think I have said every single one of those! However, I feel as strong as you do about the importance of scouting and I am proud to be The Scoutmaster’s wife.
Well said. I mention this whenever possible in regards to Scouting and coaching sports. When you have a family, there has to be one at home to allow the other to be in the field. God bless the spouses!
