Last night at our meeting we had a visitor. Matt, one of our Eagles came to see us fresh out of Marine boot camp. It was a fantastic reunion since he was the Senior Patrol Leader when we joined the Troop. Matt talked to the boys, some he knew and others he met for the first time. Matt talked about the core values and skills he learned in Scouts along with the core values he learned at Marine boot camp, and why they are important in life. Matt has also been accepted to Oklahoma State University. After six years of being a firefighter he realized some goals in life, so he decided to join the Marine Corps for the training he needs to later become an ATF agent. Matt is anxious to get to California for his training to learn to blow things up. Matt makes our Troops sixth Eagle to be serving active duty for our Country at this time.
